Under the title “Climate Action in Alpine Towns”, eight Alpine towns implemented climate actions related to spatial planning and citizen participation. The project was implemented in the framework of the Swiss Presidency of the Alpine Convention and the Territorial Agenda 2030 until the end of 2022. The final report is now available.
The project “Climate Action in Alpine Towns” shows that municipalities can already start with low-threshold climate measures – with Alpine towns as pioneers. They tried to address the concerns of their citizens about climate change and to develop creative solutions. In addition, there was an exchange between the towns to learn from each other.
